those guys that were shot down at the beginning paid holy hell but were some of the toughest men I've ever met or heard of, the guys shot down towards the end downplay it but they got pretty abused too, towards the end their captors stopped doing things that would leave injuries or marks but they were experts at tying them up in contorted ways that would cause their blood to go to the extremities and leave them that way for hours, when they were untied and the blood would begin to recirculate the pain was excruciating
