Damn bro, 6 miles of property... you are doing well for yourself.

I imagine any money they would offer up wouldn't make huge difference if you own that amount of land.

My grandmothers house backs up to a transmission line. A few years back the power company gave her 5-6k to cut 3 trees. They resodded over an acre. Planted new shrubbery and trees. Graded the whole backyard.

The funny thing is the trees really weren't a threat to the line at all. Plenty of space. Plus they trim routinely. I think they were just being nice and she didn't want the trees anyway.

So I'd assume they offer up something. Moving dirt and all.
