My wife of 18 years is Asian as are my nephew and step-daughter. Asian's take hard core education very seriously. Much like Jews before them, there are many strong academic after school programs. These schools don't include basket weaving and finger painting.
The little kids are bright. You can see it in their eyes.
The kind of serious academic after-school Asian's often employ, would have been considered just shy of cheating by my parent's generation.
