Harder to prepare for yada yada, but let’s be honest. Just like this year, there will be a couple games our passing game isn’t working and that’s the weakness of the defense or they are stacking the box.
Instead of yelling at the QB all game he can do it on the sideline for a series or two.

One other advantage of a two QB system is that is keeps another guy locked into your program for at least a season. This worked at Michigan last year. Rather than sit a guy like McCarthy for a season and risk him leaving, they handled the situation well, made the playoffs, kept him, and then made them again with him as the starter.

It may not be ideal in all cases, but I bet we see dual QB systems more often going forward to promote stability in the NIL-Portal Era.
