Agreed but apparently some American companies prefer to manufacture in China instead of Latin America. There’s definitely a more sophisticated supply chain in China. Also China has much more skilled labor which is important in tech manufacturing at that scale

The shift is slowly happening. We should have worked to do this decades ago. Mexico and Central America are much closer for shipping. We have much more influence over these countries. It would GREATLY reduce immigration into our country if there are jobs and opportunities in their own countries. We should not demonize moving manufacturing to Latin America, we should be encouraging it and assisting in developing the worker skillsets.
