Use an ice scraper. Theres rarely been a time that after squeegeeing off snowthat windshield wiper fluid doesn't do the job, unless we have had an ice storm, in that case...

Three sticks of firewood stacked on the dash with a little lighter fluid. Light ten go back inside for a few minutes.
You will find that this will actually heat the inside of your car also.
Oh yea, don’t overdo it on the lighter fluid. You don’t want that smell in your car.
