I’m from Ruston, have hiked it a couple times. Like others have said, nice during the fall but also this time of year. Also like others have said, wear orange, there are hunting clubs nearby. Bonnie and Clyde museum, Ruston or Arcadia is close by also. No idea what restaurants Arcadia has nowadays

La Fogata is pretty decent. Definitely better than the 287 El Jarrito restaurants they have up there.
