Only reason they are looking for that “”””lost”””” money is more than likely the DOJ come marching into the state offices threatening with suits and the state said.. “well… we gave them that 1,000,000 dollars in Covid money they haven’t used yet”.
When the DOJ showed back up to the city wanting receipts.. they just just shuffled some paper and then said..”well… wha ha happen wuz..”

COVID money came with a whole host of environmental justice and DEI requirements and loopholes that States had to jump through...
This probably will not end well for MS or Jackson...
