Do they not plan or choreograph these things? Should they have more than 1 flying at a time if they are just willy nillying with no plan? I'm not familiar with how air shows work.

I wasn't familiar either and that looked like chaos and a disaster waiting to happen.

I guess it is organized chaos and a surprise these accidents don't happen more often.

That video (from 2021) is incredible, I wish I had learned about these air shows earlier and not from a tragedy. Those pilots are bad arse. RIP to the ones who lost their lives today.

I was there with my grandson and FIL. Earlier a group that calls it Tora Tora Tora re-enacted Pearl Harbor and they had airplanes all over the sky. Opposing low
level flights, loops and a lot scattered about flying. We talked about the amount of rehearsal time they must put in.
We were in a hangar when this occurred and thankfully did not see it.
