Hard to argue with this. You used to be able to watch something funny - or at least very amusing - on TV every single night. There was always a good comedy in theatres. And there were lots of great standups touring the country.
The decline and death rattle of SNL is merely a symptom of a larger disease. The very notion of comedy in entertainment has been poisoned and ruined.
