The gameplan last night was well suited to his strengths. He can throw. He just can’t read a defense. But by getting the ball to our elite receivers quickly, he can be effective.

He doesn’t have to be able to fully read the defense to continue improving. He just needs to be able to find a 1 on 1 matchup and put the ball where his receiver can make a play and start trusting that they will.

I’m not saying this has been completely fixed, but we’ve at least seen glimpses of improvement. The throw to Nabors for a big 3rd down conversion vs State and the 2 slants to Jenkins last night are examples. The receivers weren’t wide open, but Daniels still made the right throw and our WRs are good enough to do the rest. Hopefully he can build on these and start letting it fly a little more.
