my family music memories are very positive.
my mom liked big band music of 30s and 40s.
I have it as a setting in the car on xm.
great to this day.
she liked Elvis and bought and played his records. Elvis had a great voice.
I sometimes check out Elvis on xm Sirius. he has a regular station.
my grandfather liked opera. I listened. I like some opera. I sometimes listen. I recently found a compilation of a dozen performances of one song from Carmen. cool to see how they played the sultry sexpot.
my father never showed any interest in popular music.
he was a vaudeville performer before ww2.
sang and danced.
great tenor voice. he sometimes sang after dinner.
side trip:
my parents competed in ballroom dancing and won.
both in tip top shape.
my middle sister also competed in dancing and won.
both sisters sang.
the marvel of high def recordings has been a wonder. I hear lyrics and music I never knew. YAY Sirius xm.
I've got it in the house and car.
as most of you know you can project from your cell phone to your smart tv.
I do that with music. my tv sound system is 100x my phone.
