That’s pretty long to say Jesus was answering the Pharisees challenge to his rabbinic authority rather than a blind loyalty to an oppressive government

Indeed God delivered the Israelites from tyrannical oppression, so to think God supports governmental corruption is a fallacy, and it seems to me that giving these nimrods all they want is itself a sin.

The point that “we” elected them is also BS, I mentioned that in the OP, if elections were fair, then I’d reconsider, but they are stolen much like our money, for corrupt and sinful dealings.

Lastly, was the Boston Tea party event immoral? Some say it led to the American Revolution, and was that immoral?

Giving money to someone that you know will be used for immoral purposes, is in itself, immoral.

The American Revolution was started over taxation without representation. Most of the founding fathers were deeply religious men. I'm guessing they interpreted "render unto Caesar quite a bit different than the guy telling us to fork it over, regardless if it's used for immoral purposes.
