The difference between your opinion, and mine, all boils down to one simple thing: I think a player has to enter an organization with high expectations on him in order to make the argument you're trying to make, and you believe that if, at any point, a player becomes highly rated while still in the minors, his development is no longer a credit to the organization. I think that's absurd.

How dense do you have to be to read paragraphs of my argument and get this from it

An organization would get credit for the guy simply by drafting him in the first place in the example of your bullshite interpretation of my argument. But I don't think its that controversial to say someone like Vlad Jr was likely going to be Vlad Jr no matter what the Blue Jays did.

I'm talking about a very specific subset of players. Players not highly drafted, then not really recognized in the prospect rankings nationally. Its not the only measure of a good farm system, but like I said its a measure where we can isolate a few variables.

If you don't want to think that hard about it, just go off the prospect rankings and MLB production that comes out of each system and you're likely going to get a good gauge of who is good and who isn't that way. I like to think people are capable of thinking critically and not just reading the equivalent of a box score though.
