Nah, winter can be rainy at times. Depends on the year. The slushy winters aren't my favorite, I'd prefer 20 and snow to 35 and rain. Even in the coldest winters, we still occasionally get above freezing at sea level.
But, even in Southeast the freezing line is reachable on most days. At 1500' its frozen most of the time.
Its a beautiful place in winter though.

100% especially after two weeks of -20 and -40 wind chills. Everything defrost and it becomes like a false break up. its awful.

that it is. That's why I prefer Anchorage or Palmer winters the most. mid teens temps with snow is pretty awesome. especially with minimal wind.
