Dawgs respect LSU program more than any other in the West...

Here's why.
LSU matches UGA for tradition. Admittedly without the Bama titles (justified or conjured up), we both have several between us. It's also a party atmosphere on gameday (and even a day or so before!).
Last time LSU came to Athens, our N'Awlins friends brought all their cajun food, we partied down across the street from Sanford Stadium, had a band rocking out right next to us, and we all had a blast (of course, that year we thumped ya'll pretty good).
And our win in Sanford was a payback after a double knockdown from ya'll in Tiger Stadium and the Georgia Dome.
I've been there for a couple of games, and the atmosphere is great, and the fans are, too. Hospitable, and almost urging us to come over and try some food out (Umm, if only Drago's were in Atlanta!). But the point is the fanbase is passionate, knowledgeable, and fired up. It makes for a great game between SEC powers.
After the economy knocked me back, and made me realize I needed to cut back, I sold my LSU-UGA tix, and cancelled my hotel room at the Hilton in NOLA. But i assure you I'll be in front of the TV set.
Go Dawgs! Man, I wish I were going now!

Similarities btwn the two programs:
1) Flagship universities of their states.
2) Recruiting base that extends much beyond just thir states.
3) Since the turn of the century, the two most winningest programs in their respective divisions and most appearances in SEC c'ship game
4) Both fanbases travel better than any other...UGA likley brings 14 to 17,000 to the Baton Rouge area on Friday/Saturday.
5) Both schools have outstanding run game and similar style Texan qb's.
6) The M.O. of both, however, is an attacking, aggressive defense...both teams just have happend to forget that from time to time.
7) Both were blown out by the SEC front runners of the opposite division from theirs.

I just hope the dawgs don't hit on all cylinders like they are capable of this weekend.
