Hmm, your "god" isn't all that wealthy by 2022 standards considering Stern's wealth is estimated at about $650 million.

Well that is enough money to ride off into the sunset never to be heard from again and have an army of strippers visit you daily.

You could spend 50k a day for the next 35 years and still not be broke because of interest and other holdings that could still appreciate in value.

I have heard him on some shows say that he is ready to hang it up, but he would hate to be the one to tell his staff that this is it, I am retiring. It is the people that he works with that keep him wanting to work.

But as was said, at some point you have to leave the business.

It is always better to leave on top on a high note than on a down note were everybody hates you.

I think that is where he is at, he is on the waning leg of his career he is looking for the high note to leave, but is unable to find it. The dude works maybe 3-4 days a week on air, every other week at times and will take multi week vacations and put on best of’s for the rest of the times. That is not say he does other behind the work managing his media empire.

Other other hand, I still don’t understand how SiriusXM makes money to pay him those rates when, subscriptions depending on which deal you get are only a fraction of the full price of the subscription. And I think he is on a premium tier.

Also, there is no heir apparent to take over his show and do the things he is able to get away with it. The same thing has been true with the transition on the Rush Limbaugh show after his unfortunate passing. That transition was a mess and I don’t think the ratings have yet to recover.
