Portnoy's conscience is suddenly and obviously bothering him.

This guy was always a phony, waaay overrated intellectually, morally and ethically.

He scored a batch of points with GOP-conservatives over the singular issue of "walking away" -- but that was yet another issue fought for and based solely on his own selfish interests and problems (sexual harassment).
