There is very little that can be done at this point.Society is self destructing. There needs to be serious prosecution of gun related crimes, apparently the will to do that is lacking. There is great need to improve mental health care, society doesn’t want to spend the money to do that.
The destruction of the nuclear family-how do you turn that around? There are multiple generations now of people raised without a family life where rules are taught and enforced, work ethic instilled and morality is taught.Gangs have taken the place of family ,thug life is glorified.Dems are constantly pushing victimhood and the idea they aren’t prospering is that “whitey” won’t let them.Nothing is said about getting an education and working hard to improve one’s lot in life.

When I was a kid I had a gun rack in my room with a shotgun,.22 and pellet gun(I was 12).Most of my friends had guns in their rooms also. When we had disagreements,we would duke it out.It never occurred to us to get a gun and shoot anyone. In high school some the guys had pickups with a shotgun in gun rack to go squirrel hunting after school.
We were all taught gun safety, there were never any accidental shootings except 1 friend shot the tip of his index finger off with his .22..

The thing is guns aren’t the problem, gun violence is a symptom of the problems in our society.Take away all guns, then it will be knives, baseball bats, anything that could be usd as a weapon.
Law abiding citizens will then have no way to defend theirselves.
