If you have a 19x why not just stick with that for the trip. Grab some bells and bear spray to keep them away. As other posters say, buy a 10mm. Not for defense bear though, but because why not buy more? FYI I have never had to defend myself from a bear, but I am heading to glacier national park for a week and will only have bear spray. I feel like if I was better trained a 10mm or larger would be good but bear spray has a better range/width/distance for me. I feel like I would not be fast enough to use anything other than spray.
