Office buildings are more secure than schools. We can’t afford key card access for every student and teacher But at least Ukraine got 40 billion.

Because you can't secure a school.

Thats it.

People are gonna get up in arms about guns when our school campuses are not secure.

It doesn't matter how well armed one might be. He cannot harm children at schools if he cannot get into the school.

School districts in Texas have the option but aren’t required to opt in to the Guardian plan.

With the Guardian Plan, a district can grant anyone, including employees, permission to carry firearms on campuses through a contract. They get training and what not. No reason not to do it.

This district opted out from my understanding.

I live in Texas and my children go to public school. In order to get into their elementary school, you have to show your ID to the camera and then be buzzed in by the administration. I don’t understand why all schools can’t be that way.

That said there are still times (ie recess and PE) where they would still be vulnerable.
