If the DC coordinators don't fix the scheme:

and it's the same scenario (or worse) as the florida game, where:
- LSU doesn't get any pressure on the QB with
garcia passing for let's say...over 300 yards...
- Little to no blitzing from the super talented LSU defense.
- Team looks unprepared/unmotivated
OR
- LSU wins, but gives up 30 points.
would you lose faith in the coaching staff?

both Garcia and Smelley suck, if they let Garcia have a huge game, then something definitely needs to be done.

This defensive scheme is going to make me drink.
a lot.
a lot.

smelley is decent.

and garcia is better than people think.

if we win most will not worry that the d still gave up the points and didn't fix things.
the only way most people think that our d is a problem is when we lose and have uf expose us.

a good drinking game with the LSU d is drink every play we don't blitz. you will be tore the frick up by the 2nd series

Doc, I watched them closely against Vandy, I think they suck, both of them, you put prtessure on them and they will throw pics, but the big question is will LSU put pressure on them? they only have one sure RB, stack the box and force them to pass.

that would end BADLY
yeah, everything is fine if the offense scores 40 points...
but gives up 39

I sure as hell hope that's not true. If we win something like 31-30, then there is still a LOT to be concerned about.

Our lame defensive scheme has been exposed since the Moo State game. Spurrier will find a way to expoit it if changes aren't made, which they probably won't be, based on Miles comments in the press and on his radio show.

exactly, but when garcia didn't get pressure, he looked okay.
I just don't believe the cuckoo co co's are going to have the defense blitz.
read and react baby...

don't worry, coaches will get that fixed next game.

come on you know most of the rant wont give a frick if we win. no matter how bad our d looks and no matter if we didn't get shite fixed.
doc i really hope we see changes but i don't think we will.

What do you think happens if Les rides Malleveto all the way to an 8-4 season, with the defense being an obvious problem all season long? Does he make a change in the off-season?

hell, i'll be elated myself after a win.
but i'll still have a bunch of questions if the D isn't aggressive again, and they give up 30 or so points.

it's not just blitzing, it's how they blitz, when they blitz (the blitz on Harvin's 1st TD was awful), and letting the DEs loose

good question.
I don't think anyone knows that but les miles.
but I do think there would be some pressure from LSU for him to get one.
a real one.

oh id be happy we won don't get me wrong but then after celebrating id realize our d still didn't play well and still was yet to be fixed. hopefully on saturday the co clowns prove me wrong and bring heat and get this fixed.
eta the point was many on the rant didn't think the d was a problem despite the au and msu games.

I think Skip would pressure him if he was still AD. Not sure about Alleva.
