re: Anywhere around BR or LP to take kids to ride horses?

Today, we made the 11:00 trail ride at Splendor Farms in Bush, LA (Covington area). The lady that runs it does a great job - well organized and the horses were healthy. The trails were about what you'd expect in Louisiana - fairly flat trails through the woods with little excitement. We did go through 8 to 10 mud holes, and the kids loved that. I'm just spoiled on trail rides in the Smoky mountains. Pictures on their website showed horses on a sandy river bank, but we never saw a river on our 1.5 hour ride.

All together, we and the kiddos had a great time. We'll be back.
