Anybody know anything about Binaural Beats?

I’ve been recommended some of these on YouTube at night that supposedly help you sleep, but assumed it was b.s. But today I got a video about BBs @ 40Hz by Dr. Andrew Huberman, and it seems like he thinks there might be something to it. That brings up another question?
1) What do y’all know and/or think about binaural beats?
2) What do you think about Dr. Huberman?

Frequency is very interesting. It is why the Stradivarius instruments are so expensive. They are doing more and more health studies on frequencies. If you want to go down the rabbit hole the old gothic churches have special frequencies within and thoughts were they used to be hospitals. Plants listening to rock music are stunted compared to listening to classical music.

Your brain is in a different frequency when you are a sleep. It is the frequency that you are in for several(?) years after you are born that lets you absorb and remember vast amounts of information.

So, it’s moot after a certain point? I guess that could be one reason for noticeable differences of intelligences of siblings. But are you suggesting it’s not fated in vitro, but the noise/sound frequencies babies-toddlers are exposed to while they sleep? Like it changes their genetics?

So, if I’m understanding you correctly—and maybe I’m not because my parents fricked me with the wrong frequencies as I slept as a baby
Btw, I hope I’m not coming off as critical—or even skeptical—you have piqued my interest more than it was originally. I may just go down that gothic church rabbit hole.

Huberman is legit AF and I digest everything he publishes in audio and print.
Also, I've found binaural beats to be helpful when studying or work that requires extreme focus. Volume needs to be kept at a lower level to prevent it from becoming a distraction.

I don’t know much about binaural beats, but I do know that Huberman speculates a lot. They had a recent study that observed altered breathing patterns when looking at screens like a phone. Basically people did not sigh, apparently it’s something people do every couple minutes, but not when looking at a phone. That’s all the study was, but he conflated some other studies saying information was less absorbed on phones, then came up with a plan to manually sigh every two minutes so that you could better absorb material on the phone.
There’s nothing wrong with this, but there’s no delineation between studies and speculation, and for most people they just take it as a Stanford neurobiologist and it’s all fact.

I've listened to almost every podcast he's released and he always states when he is speculating. I think he provides a lot of valuable information and explains the mechanisms of actions very well. His word isn't gospel, but it's worth listening to.

Binaural beats can help reset brain waves. A lot of comments on you tube videos highly recommend them. Very good for anxiety also. More helpful if used with headphones. I did an hour session with headphones last night. The beats provide a calming/soothing balm for the brain. There is a ten hour video on youtube that you can let play on low volume all night while you sleep. Ive used them a lot during ketamine infusion thereapy
