Has anyone bought new Hogan clubs recently? Their clubs are now sold directly from factory with an online custom fitting system. I’m looking to replace my Mizuno blades with their Ptx Pro irons which should have a little more forgiveness which I need as I get older.

I got a set of the PTX Pros last May and have been pleased with them.

As far as forgiveness, the main thing I have noticed is they really help with shots that are a little fat. They have a v sole similar to the Srixons and it really does make a difference on those heavy shots.

You probably already noticed this but in case you didn't, their lofts are really weak. The 4 iron starts out at 22* and there is a 4* gap between each club so your PW is 46*, which is a lot weaker than most other player-distance irons. This doesn't really bother me but be prepared to hit a longer club than those who are playing with stronger lofts.

Another plus is they offer a lot of shaft options with no upcharge. And their customer service is great.

Not sure it this is still available but when I got mine they gave me a 10% discount for giving them my email address. All in all would recommend.

For reference my handicap is around 12.

Good point about the lofts. I’m used to that as my MP-29 irons have weaker lofts, which I guess was more standard lofts at the time. Thanks for the feedback. The PTx Pro black model with anodized finish are nice and that’s what I’m looking at.

They’ve got a good deal going, if you order a set of irons you get a free stand bag
