TPC, an actual tournament course, being one
There's a big difference between a pro course and a pro course in tour conditions. I grew up playing TPC Southwind plenty, which has hosted the FedEx St Jude Classic for over 30 years now. That course was worlds different when the members played than on tournament week.
For starters, the Tour tees were about 1000 yards further than the mens tees and about 500 yards longer than the normal tips. Then you add in the fact that the fairways are brought in, the rough twice as high, the pins more difficult to attack, and the greens rolled. Hell, it's even a par 71 course for the members but a par 70 for the PGA tour event. Yeah, not even close to the same playing conditions or really even the same course honestly
