If you play Ncaa 09 on a widescreen TV?

I have an older TV that I using right now that is not widescreen, just a regular square, but its a big TV. If I got a new TV that is widescreen, will I be able to see more of the field? For example, when I drop back to pass, will I be able to see sideline to sideline?

ETA: actually it will depend on your settings I imagine. You could send a 16:9 signal to a regular tv but it would look squished.

Yeah you can. I played on a 4:3 the other day and it drove me crazy. You CANNOT see your WRs streaking until they are wayyyy down field.

I had the same problem with the hotel TV. I couldn't play nearly as well because you can't see the WR before the play or on the out routes. If you go to the Hot Route menu, it backs up enough.
It's definitely a better experience on a widescreen and even moreso in HD.

I had this problem then I went out and bought a 50" widescreen, and I can see the flats when I drop back to pass. Playing in HD makes a world of a difference. If you get one, make sure you change the setting to HD in the dashboard. You won't regret it.

That shite pisses me off on my TV when I'm scrambling and I can't see the corner blitz coming to Rosenfels me. I need a fricking widescreen TV.
