They do not and should not. The SCOTUS case was about if the government can institute a vaxx mandate on private companies.
Private companies should have the freedom to do as they choose. If they want to implement their own vax mandate and run off employees, so be it. Just like a baker should be able to choose if they don't want to bake a cake for a gay couple.

Baking a cake versus an injection is a bad comparison though. As per an earlier post, in line with that thinking, a private company should be able to terminate a pregnant woman if she won't get an abortion. Also, they shouldn't have to disclose that prior to employment.

I have absolutely no problem with this if there was any chance we could get both enforced consistently but of course that will never happen
