Mediacom or spectrum internet?

Those are my two cable providers up here. AT&T doesn’t have fiber in this area and their dsl is pitiful (1.5mb/s download speed).
Mediacom has a lot of shitty reviews but my parents had a good experience before moving outside of their area.
Wasn’t spectrum formerly the company that had a class action lawsuit against them for throttling bandwidth and then were intentionally deceiving govt inspectors that showed up at users’ homes to measure DL speeds?
Anyone have experience with with of these companies?
