Up and coming program, 3rd largest university in NC (28,000), located in Greenville, NC, & opens up a market in a very populated state of NC. Opinions?

Wow. Memphis, too. Nice homework. The SEC is now ON IT!

Honestly, when we played them in the Liberty Bowl I was surprised by their fan support. They had a decent showing IMO.

I have no idea as an overall program how they fare though

Schools that in no way should be considered for the SEC (Posted on 9/2/11 at 5:01 p.m.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To summarize from what I've seen various individuals propose as schools worthy of consideration. In no particular order:

Missouri
Oklahoma State
Texas Tech
Baylor
TCU
SMU
Wake Forest (i.e., no religious affiliated schools)
Houston
Memphis
Louisville (i.e., no city schools)
Southern Miss (unless you kick out OM or MSU)
Florida State
Miami
Clemson
Georgia Tech
West Virginia
Maryland
East Carolina
UL-Lafayette

Others?

You guys are too short sighted. Don't look at what they are doing now, look at what they could do in the future.

If one game defines a program, a lot of schools in the SEC are forever tainted.

Why do you care about what markets would be opened?

Because it factors in to the SEC's decision making?

Not a damn chance in hell. Why would we want someone who couldn't even compete for a title in a much MUCH weaker conference?

So this isn't about what teams we would like to see in the SEC, but more of just trying to guess correctly which team the SEC office will choose?

Why should the FANS consider money in the equation of choosing which teams they want in the conference?

There are a lot of better choices out there, but I don't think there is merit to what you are saying. They do get a lot of support and that is worth something. The only problem would be academics. Not that academics should be a huge factor, but it is known as NC's party school is it not...

Yeah seems like ECU hasn't really made any waves in a couple years. Even though they could beat Vandy and Kentucky.

Their field is tits, though.

I have always liked the ECU school thing myself, I doubt it happens but you never know. If the SEC cannot get any of the big 4 nc schools, then why not ECU.
