Who gives a shite if TAMU never plays any of those douchebgs again??? TheyKre playing in the SEC!

Besides...this is ALL about money. How does NOT playing UT, OU, OKST, and TT hurt TAMU financially if they're playing in the SEC?

If A&M splits off from Texas in this realignment, it might create a War-Of-The-Roses style divorce. UT officials probably would not be eager to schedule the Aggies in anything, anytime soon. There would be the risk of losing 100-plus years of tradition, including the driving force behind the Aggies' very fight song (which starts: "Good-bye to Texas University ...).

from the Orangebloods.com site...

and this just pisses me off, as if "Texas Fight" doesn't go "Texas Fight, Texas Fight, and it's Goodbye to A&M"

Tuck Fexas...I want us in the SEC so bad and give them the finger...

I have a hell of a lot more respect for Texas A&M right now. They may lose out and have to follow their liege, Texas, for political reasons but at least they are showing some balls.

But I'm disappointed in OU, very disappointed. It's like Texas has them on their knees.

Reading some of the OU boards, some of the fans think the SEC is too tough. They think they will get beat too much in the SEC. They want to go to an easy conference, without a conference championship game, so they can just sit back and get an automatic bid to the BCS bowls. Very disappointed.

I'm hoping the a&m brass isn't just playing up the SEC rumors to make the fans happy before heading west.

he's the repub candidate...he could shoot baby Jesus on national TV and it wouldn't matter...

He already shot baby jesus at Baylor and those tea baggers are sticking White (the Democrats) signs all over the place.

Texas is so fricking funny. Gawd the hatred amongst those old SWC foes. They don't know who to hate the most.

real sportsmanship there

A&M will no longer be an instate competitor with common goals but will be an outsider. The supporters of the other TX schools will go at the Aggies every chance they get. A&M will enjoy less media coverage and certainly less political support....IOW, it will be hardball.

A&M is a state funded school. Funding decisions are political. Got it?

You got that right. UT and A&M fricked everything up when they refused to duck with you back in what, 1992?

I laugh every time I read Arkansas to the Big 12. What idiots.

But I think you are correct that Stallings has someone's ear and they are trying to appease the fandome of A&M before going west into the desert to wonder for 40 years.

I wish someone could work up a picture of a bunch of kids playing, with Texas being the big mouth bully telling TAMU... "If you don't do what I say, we ain't playing with you no more." Have OU, OSU, and TT behind Texas being his yes men and kissing his butt.

Just wondering what common goals there could possibly be in playing schools in the PAC-10.

There is absolutely NOTHING they could have in common with those schools out west. Nothing. Conversely, A&M would be a fantastic fit in the SEC, and much more interesting in games against neighboring states in closer proximity than that of freaking Washington and Oregon. I mean seriously, that's just weird, and really wouldn't get me too pumped up as a fan to get up for the game, nor tune in. If anything, TAMU playing Arkansas is much more regional and interesting than UTx playing Oregon in Eugene.

WOO HOO... Let's take a trip to Eugene for the big game with Donald Duck. I mean really. Isn't that just a little strange?

Seems like at this point with all the rumors that are swirling around and the A&M fan base apparently on board with moving to the SEC, there's gonna be a lot of pissed off Aggies if it doesn't happen. Doesn't seem like that would be a smart move on their part - but you may be right.
