Part of the reason the Texas TV market is seems so great is because almost every school Texas plays is in Texas. When schools like A&M leave for the SEC and Texas has to play more schools out of state, those TV ratings will drop in Texas. Opportunity for the SEC and A&M. This is a chance for A&M to get out of the shadow of Texas.
