There's a reason Aggie jokes are an institution

When given the chance, Aggies will always make the inexplicable move. They will leave you shaking your head at their lack of reasoning.
My read on this is tejas leveraged the pac 10 to get their ultimate wish: the longhorn network. Collateral damage was Neb to Big 10 and CU to Pac 10. No biggie. In order for tex to stay, I guarantee the big 12 gave them an even more disparate portion of the league revenue pie. Ags had a chance to kick bevo square in the nards and bolt for the sure thing SEC. Money, prestige, exposure and more awaited them. But in some office in that godforsaken state of tejas, the horns lied, cheated and absolutely bamboozled the ags into staying in a rinky-dink, dying conference and turning down what is likely to be their first, last, and only opportunity to be Big Time. All of that to line the orange pockets of the teasips. This deal to keep the big 12 together accomplished nothing but making the teasips richer, and all the promises made with the intent of keeping ags in line will be broken.
We tell aggie jokes for a reason. Throughout history, the joke is always on them.
