Chip Brown of Orangebloods.com reports that Texas, after receiving a deadline by interim Big 12 commissioner Chuck Neinas and speaking with ESPN, has agreed to end all high school content on the Longhorn Network for the next six years, including news-style highlights which have been approved by the NCAA.

The NCAA has said that high school highlights are OK to show but up to now, the LHN has not shown any. This will just be a continuation of that policy.

Yes, but I thought it had been reported that LHN had approached Houston and San Antone TV stations, among others, with a deal to let LHN provide H.S. highlights packages in the future, and while the San Antone station declined, at least one Houston station agreed. So, this seems to be somewhat of a concession, I would think.

Hell, if they keep stripping content from this bastard child called "Longhorn Network", ESPN will be forced to air the Cheerleaders in the nude doing tutorials on basket weaving.
That's something that might raise subscriber level high enough to justify the $15 Mill a year raping they're receiving!

At the same time, I would be willing to bet they are negotiating for additional b12 games on LHN. If they don't get some additional fb games, no additional carriers are going to be interested in picking it up.
