Did not read the 3rd one, no. I read the flap and saw that it was a whole new cast of characters except for the Shrike. Thought it was a good stopping point for now. They were good reads, but they were not easy reads. And I wanted a change at the time. Looking at my library, it looks like I started The Iron Druid Series afterwards.
I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point, but from a sci-fi perspective, I wanted to try The Deepness series CAD suggested, and Old Mans War before getting back into Hyperion.

Old Man's War is very enjoyable. And the follow-up books are good too.
