So i have a library card from the Lakeview library just down the road - does that give me access to all of the NOLA libraries overdrive / libby audiobooks? I didn't know if it would give me a wider selection if I also got a library card from some of the bigger libraries in New Orleans.
I also live right on the border with Jefferson Parish so was thinking about trying to get one over there as well but wasn't sure if they would let me since I am not technically a Jefferson Parish resident.

You should have access to the entire parish library catalog, not just the branch where you got the card.

Most parishes will let you get a card if you work or worship in that parish. I have one for EBR and one for Ascension, and between the two, I hardly wait for a book.

Awesome, thanks - I'll call Jefferson Parish and see. Really frustrating when the library has two of the 3 books I want on audio.

JP Library Card Policy
looks like you're good

Hopefully you can manage your backlog better than me
I've got 100 or so on my list and can't ever find time to get to them

If you know someone in another city that doesn't listen to audiobooks give them a call and get their library card number. I'm using my sister in laws card from Nashville.
There is a Reddit thread which lists the libraries with the biggest library of online books.
