what are the best James Patterson books ?
didn't he write a non-fiction book OTHer than the one he wrote with Clinton?

I liked the early Alex Cross books. The ones with fairy tale names Big Bad Wolf etc. At some point I checked out on them though.

This may not be a popular opinion, but I consider James Patterson to be garbage. To his credit, it took me a while to realize it, but he’s not a talented writer. Read 3 blind mice, the lifeguard and several of the Alex cross books and I began to sense a pattern. A pattern of crap.
