Are you just parroting the Stephen King fans that ride his dick and read nothing else, except maybe some Dean Koontz and Anne Rice?
this makes no sense, since I have actually read the books I'm referencing. and if you actually read what I have said on this thread, I am far from riding his dick. I actually pretty much cant stand him anymore.

He's quantity over quality and has been since at least the 80s.
THIS i agree with.
now Dean Koontz - there's a hack, in my opinion. and I say that as someone who has actually read several of his more popular books.

I am Stephen King fan and do not believe he is a hack by any stretch. You don't get the cultural cache that he has by being a hack.
Your opinion seems to come from elsewhere instead of being informed by your own actual experience. I have heard many complaints against King (many of them valid - his endings are terrible, overly long, slow pacing, etc.) However, his character work is exceptional and his work in individual scenes is almost second to none.
Maybe read a full book by him before forming an opinion? Or even some of his short stories?
Dean Koontz is definitely a hack, which is why he is not anywhere close to having the cultural cache of King.
You can dislike King and his works, but to call him a bad writer is not accurate.
