Anyone else here read Murakami’s 1Q84?

Just completed it. Holy shite. I mean I enjoyed the read but
A) could’ve been about 700 pages shorter
B) what the frick was that ending?
C) dude has an unusual fascination with women’s pubic hair
I guess i was expecting a more suspenseful conclusion given the way the first 1,000 pages went

It's definitely not among my favorite Murakami novels, but I remember generally liking it. It's been too long for me to remember what I specifically did not like.

It was very repetitive which seems to be a common gripe, but that’s expected to a degree given it was originally 3 separate volumes
