South Carolina Coach Will Muschamp Discusses Les Miles’ Firing

Miles thought the talent that LSU would cloud his lack of modern coaching skills, and for a long time it did. I would get so angry watching the offense take the field. He ran the same thing, every week, against every team. No adjustments, nothing new. For the past 5 years I would tell myself, "He just holding the good stuff for Bama. He gonna throw something at them that they have never seen before." only to watch Bama play us like a fiddle. I think Saban knows Cam's playbook better than Les did. Les believed running LF7 solves all problems. Now teams are stacking 9 in the box and he still refuses to adjust. I can see if he didn't have the talent to adjust, but that roster is overflowing with it! But he just refused to change. Assumed if he ran a play the same 4 to 5 plays enough times, it would eventually work. Well guess what it didn't. I wish you the best Miles. But your coaching style is ancient. Cam Cameron, you might as well hang it up because unless your hired by Miles at his next stop, you won't be coaching at any level. Unless your coaching some middle school team.

Miles was not fired like Muschamp at Fla. He was at LSU for 11 years and was give every opportunity to change his 70s offense but he didn't.
