Ed Orgeron was asked about running backs Tyrion Davis-Price and John Emery Jr. during his appearance on the SEC Coaches Teleconference Wednesday morning.

Davis-Price is dealing with a minor injury but should play Saturday vs. Mississippi State, Orgeron said. The junior running back did not practice with the team on Tuesday.

Orgeron did not have an eligibility update on Emery Jr. but said that if he is cleared to play that they will have no problem starting him right away as he has been staying in shape and practicing with the team. He added that Emery Jr. took some first-team snaps in practice this week as they were short on running backs.

None of this matters. If Kiner is not your starter now without any debate and Goodwin is his backup then this coaching staff has lost all its credibility. It’s nothing against TDP and Emery but the freshmen are just better.

If #21 doesn’t get the ball a lot Saturday, I really got to question CEO about who Else should be starting but isn’t....

I hope John Emery gets cleared to play because TDP has just not cut it so far this season. Let's see if Emery can play any better. If not, then make Kiner and Armani the starters.

This is great and all, but if we piddle around with these two for Miss St. and don't give Kiner the rock early and often to get established, it will be another told you so for the game plan.
