Per LSUSports.net: The Tigers scored 13 runs across five innings to complete the sweep of Mississippi State, 13-3, Sunday afternoon at Dudy Noble Field.

LSU advances to 23-9 overall and 7-5 in SEC play. The Bulldogs fall to 18-15 overall and 4-8 in the conference.

The Tigers return home to Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field for a midweek contest against Lamar on Tuesday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game can be heard on affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network and will be streamed on SEC Network+.

I’m happy for the team but especially Jay Johnson. The fan base has no patience, give him time and we’ll be back in the Promised Land!

I couldn’t agree more. This team is what it is. There’s a lot to be desired defensively as they’re among the worst in the SEC fielding-wise. But they can beat anyone on any given day so long as relief pitching continues their solid play and the bats produce enough runs to get the job done. I’m excited for these guys and look forward to seeing what kinda damage they can do.
