Food Poisoning Wasn't Going To Stop Derek Curiel From Coming Up Clutch For The Tigers
by Staff Reporter
February 28, 20261 Comments
Following LSU's 5-2 victory over Dartmouth on Friday night, Derek Curiel revealed that he battled through food poisoning after eating some bad chicken wings the night before.
His illness kept him out of leftfield, but Jay Johnson slotted him at DH, and Curiel came up big for the Tigers.
The Tigers were trailing 2-1 in the 6th inning when Curiel hit his bases-clearing 2-run RBI to give LSU a 3-2 lead, which they never relinquished.
