Jim Tressel Takes Admin Job With Akron

University of Akron has hired former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel as vice president for strategic engagement (a non-athletics position) and will earn a base salary of $200,000 per year. The job starts May. 1. University officials say he will work with alumni, community organizations and friends of the school to develop strategies and efforts to help students succeed.
