Alabama freshman running back Demetrius Hart will be out for the 2011 season with a injured knee. According to sources he injured his knee during voluntary workouts and will undergo surgery later this week. The ligament injury will keep him out 7-10 months. Hart was #8 on ESPN's list of running back prospects. He was very impressive in spring practice where he not only came out of the backfield, but was also returning punts.
