2 OM and 2 BAMA tix for sale - chauncey1
Found out I can't make Bama due to work and I'll miss Ole Miss due to "important" obligations. So, 2 tickets by the visitors tunnel (LSU season tickets) available, about 20-25 rows up. I'll be in BR Saturday morning on campus to exchange in person. Offers? BTW... This is killing me!...

re: Former Tiger great Malcolm Scott is living under an overpass. - chauncey1
I wish I was in NOLA and was in a position to help the guy out with a job. I don't believe in cash handouts, but giving a guy a chance to do for himself is noble. My "want" to help him out is only that much more because he is a Tiger. Not just because he played on the football team. I would hope ot...

re: Honeymoon - Bahamas or St Lucia - chauncey1
If other places are in play... I do like St. John and BVI, but stay away from St. Thomas. It's pretty dirty. St. Martin/ St. Maarten (not bvi) is one of my favorites. St. Bart's is for real ballers. Parts of the Almafi coast are real nice. Speaking of Italy, Cinque Terre is pretty awesome. ...

re: Honeymoon - Bahamas or St Lucia - chauncey1
In St. Lucia I'd recommend Sugar Beach. Its in between the Pitons and on the beach. I'm not an all inclusive guy, but food options in St. Lucia are limited. If you want something different look up the mountain at Ladera. It only has three walls and has great views. I've heard good things about cap...

re: Coming Soon - Tuscaloosa Marine Shale Crew Lodge (McComb, MS) - chauncey1
TMS is never going to be the Bakken. TMS could get moderately busy, but its not going to be crazy unless commodity prices go way up. S.TX and N.Dakota are different from TMS... Population densities are larger. Building codes are easier....

re: Honeymoon destination ideas in the Caribbean/Bahamas, etc. - need help - chauncey1
Had friends stay at cap Maison. They enjoyed it. They split it between there and Laderra. You are picking spots away from the Pitons. I'd recommend the other side of the island for scenery. ...

re: Honeymoon destination ideas in the Caribbean/Bahamas, etc. - need help - chauncey1
If you don't want to do all inclusive, I'd suggest St. Maarten (French side) or BVI. St. Maarten has plenty to do, a ton of beaches and good food. Rent a jeep a drive around the island. BVI and St. John are nice, but very quiet. Beautiful water. The resorts at St. Lucia are nice- Ladera & Sugar B...

re: 4 Years Later, Is Gulf Shrimp Really Safe? - chauncey1
Perspective.... Let's assume tar balls weigh 9.62 lbs/gal. 1,000,000 (lbs)/9.62 (lbs/gal)/42 (gal)= 2,475 bbls over the course of a year Or 6.78 bbls/day spanning the coast of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas and Florida. The average bath tub is roughly 50 gals for a visualizati...

re: LSU Petroleum Engineering Department Close to Losing Accreditation - chauncey1
The department is not endanger of losing accreditation. That won't happen. The school is using the PetE department to highlight underfunding. When I was in school, there were plenty of weed out courses- Statics, Thermo, etc. If you can pass thermo, diff eq, dynamics, etc. you can pass petrology....

re: OT oil tycoons that have property with oil/gas leases, a question: - chauncey1
If it's a small track of land, it's probably not worth an attorney. What kind of royalty/lease bonus is being offered? You can look at the Texas railroad commission and get an idea on activity in the area. Ask the people in Bossier/DeSoto Parish that kept saying no to $20,000/acre during the Hayns...

re: Single Malt Scotch preferences? - chauncey1
Pretty good list. Right now, my everyday scotches are Dalmore & Glemmorangine. I go through phases. Abelour a'bunadh is great, but I sometimes have a hard time finding it. Balvienes get thrown into the rotation as does Glenkinche . The platinum isn't anything special. JW quit selling the green in ...
