re: FootballScoop's Update on the LSU Job - nycajun
Read the article closely. Other than Nick and Urban being out of the question (Surprise, Surprise), there's nothing else there of substance to support any of his so-called conclusions....

re: Miles to Penn State?? - nycajun
Agreed. But in every situation there's a range of prices/salaries that would be "market", not just one number. And that range at Penn State isn't the same as the range at Alabama or Univ. of Maine. So, my only points are (i) he doesn't have to hit the top or even the middle of the range if he's happ...

re: Miles to Penn State?? - nycajun
Miles must make a "good faith effort" to find alternative employment.  Whatever that means.
It's a term that has some amount of interpretational jurisprudence behind it. It's a fairly low standard. Other terms that a contract might use to impose a higher standard would be "best ...

re: Maybe the Miles rule about the players uniform will finally get trashed! - nycajun
No visors predates Miles. Time for you to stop taking every opportunity to bash Miles.Or at least get your facts right....

re: Miles to Penn State?? - nycajun
Not at $100,000. But he can probably negotiate at the lower end of a range of reasonable numbers. Any evidence of an agreement to bump him up after the LSU payout ends could be a problem. But done in a way that doesn't push the envelope, it's probably a fine strategy for him and his next employer....

re: Miles to Penn State?? - nycajun
It would be an excellent place for him. Enthusiastic fan base but devoid of absurd expectations, fertile recruiting ground in Pennsylvania and W. Virginia, academically strong school to attract athletes who are also intelligent, and after the Paterno/Sandusky scandals a place that needs a squeaky cl...
Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.
A bleeping men. True in sports, in music and dance, in the military, almost any physical endeavor that also requires focus. Or, as I phrase it to my students, "Practice doesn't make perfect. Practice makes permanent."...

Pretty much doesn't matter which row. Just be sure that in addition to your ticket you get a boarding pass and put your phone in airplane mode....

re: Something Else Coach O Has Changed - nycajun
Isthat really the reason?
Of course not. When did Bo coach at Michigan? You people are like Trump and Clinton. You'll make up any kind of bull shite if you think it will make you sound clever. And it never does....

re: Is the QB position back open? - nycajun
The difference between Mett's first year and his second was pretty dramatic. Give the kid a chance. We sure gave BH a chance (well, given the putrid mismatch of QB skills and offensive philosophy). ...

You wouldn't progress either with your O line doing its best imitation of a slice of Swill cheese. ...

re: Brando going HAM on finebaum - nycajun
These clowns (Brando, Forde, Mike&Mike) are just trying to find a way to elevate themselves above the noise around all this. Say something truly harsh in hopes you'll get more time on message boards than the average bear. Seems to be working. ...

re: Les Miles - Thanks for the Memories and All you Did for LSU! - nycajun
I agree about the jerks who shoot their cowardly mouths off behind the anonymity of a keyboard, and I agree that Miles' contributions to LSU football, LSU, and the State of Louisiana far, far outweigh the problems of recent years. I part company, however, on the suggestion that he should be AD. That...

Right. Then Miles hires BDP to be head coach. See how that works?...

re: if Craig is OC, do we switch to spread option? - nycajun
The personnel is the personnel. It's mid-season and the playbook has been the basis for practice since at least August. To expect anything dramatically different (except perhaps better player execution because they react to seeing the consequences of the failures to the extent attributable to them) ...
