I am going to dispute your fact that 94% of the deaths came from people having underline conditions.

Here’s the issue

The black community in Louisiana and elsewhere got hit hard because of the obesity and diabetes issue

Black CFB players probably know someone who has died from this and they irrationally infer it could happen to them

They shut down entire cities with lockdowns and sprayed everyone/everything with bleach.

You’re complaining about not allowing large public gatherings.

You need to expand you thought on this...it's not just a "black" thing.

quote:

Chronic kidney disease
COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
Obesity (BMI of 30 or higher)
Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant
Serious heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies
Sickle cell disease
Type 2 diabetes
These changes increase the number of people who fall into higher risk groups. An estimated 60 percent of American adults have at least one chronic medical condition. Obesity is one of the most common underlying conditions that increases one’s risk for severe illness – with about 40 percent of U.S. adults having obesity. The more underlying medical conditions people have, the higher their risk.

I know 12 people who tested positive and therefore deemed to have had the ‘rona. 4 were over 55 and the rest were younger with the youngest being 16. Most had flu bug type symptoms, all tested positive, one was asymptomatic, one had asthma, and all of them recovered without meds.
I must add that 2 others, outside of the 12, that I didn’t know but heard we’re a over 80, In a nursing home, and died from complications maybe caused by the ‘rona.

When was the last time the flu continued to spread rampantly through summer months?

As far as the “underlying conditions” thing. 80% of America has “underlying conditions” given how obese of a nation we are.

Sorry, but it’s far worse than the flu. Especially when you factor in the “underlying conditions” for flu related deaths. You know, since you want to use it for Covid, you have to use it for all others.

Cancer isn’t that big of an issue either of you take out people who basically did it to themselves by smoking or other lifestyle choices. Same with heart disease, diabetes, etc. Hell, by your standards, alcohol related traffic deaths are no big deal if you take out the “underlying condition” of alcoholism.
