Saw a homeless man on Saturday near Calliope and Tchoupitoulas cutting the grass at his spot with one of those manual lawnmowers. His “wife” was supervising from their tent. You can’t make this stuff up. His spot was looking nice though...
I was in grad school then. Scary times. I had friends who worked with Murray's roommate at the time. After she was killed the cops gave her roommate a dog from the K9 unit....

Have you bought the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook yet? It is a must have! And yes, hiking to the waterfalls and back on the Kalalau trail is a full day and not easy. There is also good hiking around Waimea Canyon. The North Shore is so amazing!...

Have done it twice. It’s an amazing time. Lots of amazing food…lots of booze. Dessert is a little extreme as they bring out one of everything on the menu. At that point you just can’t go anymore. They give you a nice signed menu at the end of the meal. You have a designated waiter who is always to...

I bet they do have a real checkpoint now. Since covid, I think you even have to have a reservation just to do any of the hikes. We did the hike to Hanakoa falls a few years ago. Absolutely beautiful but it was rough. ...
