re: Brennan is not the guy.

This board keeps forgetting Myles Brennan's capabilities! Yes, he has had tough sledding at LSU, not all his fault! We have never had an opportunity to see Myles in a continuing role at LSU. His potential, with a great supporting cast is "off the charts"! Check out his HS stats: [link=(https...
Fielding has potential, but his rocket arm is a is a loose canon. He makes a great throw on one play, then doesn't throw within 10 feet of the bag on the next! His hitting will likely get better over time. Again, he is inconsistent, swinging at bad pitches, then taking a strike down the middle. ...

Can't field; Can't throw!!! ...
Why do you guys forget that Myles passed for over 17 thousand yards in HS, broke Brett Favre's Mississippi state record, which he still holds? Even over 4 yrs in HS, that is over 6000 yards per year. That is incredible!!! No telling how good he might have been, had he not been injured! Have you see...

re: Roy Winston passed away

Roy (Mooney) Winston! I played baseball and football with him at Istrouma HS back in the good ole days! He was a great guy and even greater athlete! I still remember when he hit a homerun so far from home plate at the diamond at Istrouma that it cleared the left field fence, the parking lot and la...
No rivals or 247 profile. Have read that Tennessee is on him.
Wrong! Rivals does have a profile on him. He is listed as a 3 star pro style QB. He is 6'3" 200 lbs. Shows his top school interest is LSU. Looks to me that he has a strong arm and good accuracy. He will only get bett...
Did you watch the game?
Yes, I watched the whole game, not like many LSU fans who turned it off in disgust! Indeed, Kirklin was rusty, and the offense was not running smoothly! Who would have expected a guy who hasn't played QB in 4 years to be sharp? However he showed flash...
Sure, he should have started over Burrow... LOL!
The last two years were '20 and '21. Burrow's last season was 2019. '20 and '21 were horror stories at QB!...
Kirklin was an excellent QB at Lutcher HS! His stats were great! LSU has missed having a mobile QB who has great passing skills. Kirklin has both! Even though he has not played at QB for the last 4 years, he showed he still has it! Coach O blew it! And Jontre showed true leadership last night. T...
I agree on Jones! The "D" is performing even with backup players! Right now, other than that, there are no bright spots with the Tigers aside from some great effort on the part of a few individual players on both sides of the line. :nana: :dude:...

Please Scott! No Jimbo Fisher!

Posted by LSU2THEMAX on 11/14/21 at 3:16 pm
Fisher is a sleeze. He was basically fired from Florida State for recruiting violations. After Fisher won an NC at Fla St, the program went downhill! A&M thought they had a winner! Now they want him out! Every Tiger fan I have talked to does not like or trust him. We don't want a new mistake...
I just counted. Including the gold, non-contact players, there were 37 players out or injured in some way! Many of these are starters or were. How the hell can we win anything with so many players side-lined??? That is almost half the team! Why is LSU so plagued with injuries. The baseball team ...
Properly run zone is how you stop crossers from killing you. Crossing routes are really tough to defend in man to man.
If you are lined up face to face with the receiver, you can at least slow down him down at the line of scrimmage and give the rush a little more time to harass the...

Cut out the fricking zone defense!

Posted by LSU2THEMAX on 9/5/21 at 6:51 pm
Coach O supports using the zone. That is not likely the only problem with the "D", however LSU has always had problems playing zone and/or prevent "D". We have two corners in Ricks and Stingley who are as good as anyone in covering man. And our other defensive backs are pretty damn good as well. ...
Nothing compares to the Billy Cannon run against Ole Miss on Halloween in 1959. I was in the student section with my girlfriend, who is now my wife of 58 years. We were screaming at the top of our lungs inches away and couldn't hear a word from the other. Of course, everyone has heard the broadc...
Don't want to be negative. The Tigers won! I am ecstatic! However, I have never seen an infielder at any level make so many wild throws to first base. His throwing errors could have cost us the game if it had been close....
Maybe someone can correct me on this, but why in the world, when Storz's arm problems kept off the mound, did Mainieri not use him as a hitter. My recollection is that he was also considered a great power hitter in high school. He is still on scholarship and now playing tight end for the Tigers. WT...
With a couple of exceptions, LSU hitters, pitchers, and infielders look like they are thinking too much and not playing on instinct! This is especially true with the hitters. They take too many strikes and swing at too many bad pitches. Just pick your pitch and let 'er rip! Maineiri coaches by t...
